Great margarita and good n hot food, plenty food on your plate

Quick lunch time service from a friendly staff.

Too expensive but great service. Quality and amount of meat in a serving is scant.

Hostess and server could use some work thus the knock on the star, but the food and my margarita were AWESOME! I highly recommend the Tacos al Carbon. Get the "beef" as it is listed on the menu, because it's actually steak and not ground beef!! I will definitely be back next time I'm in the area.

Food was a little bland. Salsa is like tomato sauce. Queso was excellent.

Everything was great! Service was A-1 and food was delicious. Topshelf margaritas were the best I've had! Look forward to dining here again. We had the Larado and Fajita Nachos.

We put them to the test. 14 sweaty loud bikers. We got a seat immediately, chips and salsa on the table. Drinks were quick and right, as was the food. No problem with the tickets. They did fantastic!

This place was awesome ,we live in Iowa Louisiana. Stopped in Alexandria. Got the fahita nachos. The salsa was so good I had to get a cup to bring home. I like the nachos flat on plate not a pile of chips and meat hidden inside. The waitresses and staff was excellent. Wish there was one closer

The chips and salsa fresh and homemade. I had the fajita trio hot and good. The bartender was great she was fast and friendly. Everyone seems to love her. She made the best top shelf Margarita I ever had.

Salsa taste like tomato paste with seasoning, meat (chicken, beef, and shrimp) tastes like pre-made microwaveable meet from the Walmart freezer, and they don’t even have picante sauce.All of the food is HORRIBLE!!Eat at your own risk if you want an upset stomach.

Really enjoyed the non pushy but ever attending service while eating and enjoying the football games.

We were in town visiting family and happened upon this place. Here’s my reason for one star:- they seated our family of six in the bar. The light above our booth was removed. This made it an unideal for a family dinner. - the service was terrible. Our waiter was clearly not interested and would do a “drive by” to ask if we needed anything. - order came wrong from the start. We ordered kids plates and they brought adult plates and charged adult prices. Overall, the food was average but the service brought it way down. I’ll say I won’t be back, but im from out of town so it won’t matter.

This is my favorite Mexican restaurant in the Alexandria/Pineville area. Food is good, margaritas are good.

Service was great, place was neat and clean, prices slightly higher than expected, food was well presented and well prepared. Only problem I had was the food was bland may have been what I ordered Pechudo de Pollo. It was baked chicken under cheese and onions with a nice variety of steamed vegetables, rice, and refried beans. Salsa was ok as were chips. Not bad just a little lacking in spice and flavor. Overall pretty good.

Found this place with a "restaurants near me" search and couldn't have been more pleased. We were exhausted after driving all day and needed a place with good food and margaritas. Claytn provided great service, and the margarita and sangria were just what we needed. The Sombrero Sampler was great as a shared meal and the kiddo loved the cheese enchilada plate. Whether you live in the area or are just passing through, this is a great place to eat.

We had a party of 10 at lunchtime. Hot seated quickly and the waitress was great. Food was excellent.

I always sit in the bar booths and the service is always great. I'm unique as I order something that's not on the menu and it's perfect every time.

Sombreros is one of the best Mexican restaurants in Alexandria. Great food and the service today was impeccable. If I want Mexican food this is my go-to place in Alexandria.

Great lunch or dinner spot! Service is super fast no matter what time you go. Food is always hot and fresh. There are so many Mexican food options in the Alexandria/Pineville area. And I could eat Mexican every day and not get enough. But this has always been my number one choice, because their seasoning far surpasses the others. My entire family feels the same way. And the waiters are very attentive. My favorite thing about this place though is the queso and salsa...way better than the other Mexican places in our area!

I will say this: The service was incredibly fast. The people were kind and there was no wait. However, the table we were sat at was dirty. The food was mediocre at best and inedible at worst. My husbands tamales were okay. But my chimichanga was soggy and flavorless. The salsa was okay but only because I'm a fan of cilantro. I can see why some of you think it tasted like dish soap. Overall, not the worst restaurant I've ever been to but definitely not in the best either.

This was our first time eating here. My son love chips and salsa. Very pleasant and quick service. The fajitas were very tasty. The portions seemed small, however were just the right amount.

Food is good but it's a little over priced. Same thing at other restaurants in the area are about 20% cheap with just as good quality.

Prompt, courteous service. The food was delicious. The server was on point even though our group was scattered lol. We sat on the patio where they had live music from Cenla's own Flip Flop Man. Great environment and great for a birthday celebration! I'm not sure what the dessert was, but it was cream cheese or cheese cake thing with strawberry syrup. Did I mention the margaritas were fantastic?!

Friendly and helpful staff. Salsa taste fresh with just the right amount of heat. Got our drinks in a short time. I had a chimichanga. Savory seasoned beef and rancheros sauce. I also enjoyed the refried beans and rice.
